Enos Lee Harrison Ward, 45 years of age of Yulee, passed away Friday, August 14, in Iraq. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Jessie Lee and Mary Jane Ward. He was a man of honor and his word was his bond. A man of integrity. He was a man who loved his country and his wife with all his heart. He served his country with honor and he was honored to be a part of the Special Forces during his 25 year career in the United States Army. Enos was a strong hearted man and would always help those in need.
He is survived by his wife: Peggy Ward of Yulee,; Two sons: Brandon Ward of Georgia, Devin Ward of Colorado; One Step-son: Chad Conner of Callahan;Two Brothers: Tommy Cooper of Jacksonville and Johnny Lee Adams of Alabama; Three grandchildren; Jessy, Kayden and Jazmin Ward , all of Georgia; His Mother: Mary Jane Broden of Alabama; Four nephews and Three nieces. He was preceded in death by his father: Jessie Lee Ward; Three Brothers: Jeffery William Cooper and Kenneth Edward Joseph Ward and Charles Finley.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 24, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Callahan, from 6 until 8PM. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, August 25,2009 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Callahan with Dr. Lynn Hyatt officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery.
