Aubrey L. Hunter Sr., 85 of Callahan, passed away Sunday October 25 at his residence. He was born July 10, 1924 in Jacksonville Fl. To Earl and Laura Hunter. He was a member of Gray Gables Baptist Church of Callahan. He also was the owner of Hunter’s Auto Electric for over 50 years and retired in 1980. He served his country in the United States Navy, during WWII and the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Clara Hunter; Three sons: Warren (Debbie) Hunter; Kenneth Sr. (Kathy) Hunter, both of Callahan; and Aubrey Jr. (Brenda) Hunter of Jacksonville. Three Daughters: Janice (David) Marvin of Charlotte, NC. Karen (James) Conner of Callahan, and Sandra (Rich) Turner of Callahan. One brother: Alvin W. (Vera) Hunter of Interlachen FL. 18 Grandchildren and 14 Great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by 2- sisters, Joyce Hartley and Derlie Keen.
Active Pallbearers are – Kenneth Hunter Jr, Charles Zoeller, Jared Zoeller, Chris Hunter, Robert Hunter, and Rodney Claxton Jr.
The family will receive friends Tuesday October 27 at Nassau Funeral Home, from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 28th at 11 AM at Gray Gables Church of Callahan with Bro. Mark Tuso officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery.
