George Burton Scaff, Sr., 55 of Callahan passed away August 4, 2009 at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia.
He was born December 30,1953 to Audrey and Hazel Scaff. He was employed at St. Johns River Power Park, a member of River Road Baptist Church, and a member of Sanders Ridge Hunting Club, South Carolina. He was a resident of Callahan.
He is survived by, his Wife: Libby Scaff; two Sons: Burton (Tina) Scaff; Jeremy (Garah) Scaff; one Daughter: Katie (Junior) Watson all of Callahan. Four Brothers: Danny Mullis of Starke; Julian (Betty) Scaff of Callahan; Charles (Dona) Scaff of Hilliard; Joe (Karen) Scaff of Callahan; Two Sisters: Sandra (Roscoe) Harvell of Eutaw, Alabama; Earlene Lewis of Yulee; Two Grandchildren: Abbey and Gage Scaff, many Nieces, Nephews, and other Relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Audrey and Hazel Scaff. Pallbearers: Joey Scaff, Richard Harvell, Charlie Scaff, Matthew Lewis, Jeremy Simmons, and Scott Gregory. Honoraries: Members of Sanders Ridge Hunting Club.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 7,2009 from 6 until 8 PM at River Road Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 8,2009 at 11 AM at the Church with Rev. James Conner, and Rev. Hal McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery.
