Gladys Knight Hartley, 93, of Callahan, passed away January 7 in Jacksonville, FL following a lengthy illness. She was born in Rentz, Georgia to the late Henry and Salley Woodard Knight. She was preceded in death by her husband: Harvey Hartley; a sister: Clara Silas; a Grandson: Tommy Cray; a Granddaughter: Terry Williams and a Great Great Grandson: Logan Higginbotham.
She is survived by her 4-Daughters: Margie (Johnny) Funk of Middleburg, FL, Pam (Tommy) Cray of Callahan, FL, Wilda (Eb) Keeler and Bobbie Engle of Jacksonville, FL; and a Brother: Monroe Knight of Rentz, GA.
The family will receive friends Saturday January 10 at Crossroads Family Worship Center in Callahan from 11:00-12:00 Noon. Funeral Services will be held Saturday January 10 at 12:00 Noon at the church with Rev. Herb Phinazee officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Keeler, Elliott Donaroma, Derek Ingle, Carl Ingle, Curt Higginbotham and Shayne Alderman.
