Anna Hoyt Beggs Carter, 89, of Callahan, Florida, passed away Friday June 19 following an extended illness. She was born in Madison, Florida to the late Stuart Edison Beggs and Maggie Elizabeth Husbands Beggs. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Callahan. She was preceded in death by her husband: Bryant Stephen Carter, Sr.

She is survived by her Children: Bryant Stephen (Carolyn) Carter, Jr., of Opelika, Alabama, Johnny Earl (Laura Gaill) Carter, and Reba Carter (Kenneth) Alderman, both of Callahan, FL; a Sister: Louise Beggs Bland of Madison, Florida7-Grandchildren; 15-Great Grandchildren; 3-Great Great Grandchildren; Her Caregivers: Martha Doran, Mary Ray, Debbie Bretton, and Maria Chevalier.

The family will receive friends Sunday June 21 at the First United Methodist Church of Callahan from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday June 22 at the First United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Tom Black and Rev. David Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Carter, Steven Carter, Wayne Alderman, Charles Carter, Shayne Alderman, and Larry Owens. Honorary Pallbearers will be Noah Williams, Ray Williams, and Wayne Carter.
