Obituary of Joe Manasco (1939-2009)

January 12, 1939 – February 20, 2009

Joe Manasco 70, of Callahan passed away Friday, February 20, 2009 at Acosta-Rua Center in Jacksonville.

He was born in Port St. Joe, Florida on January 12, 1939 to Thomas Grady and Millie Ovella Hammack Manasco. Joe served his country in the United States Army in the ’60.’s He had been a resident of Callahan for the past fifteen years.

Survivors include his wife Mary of 52 years; Three sons: Mark, his wife Tamara of Callahan; Tim of Callahan; Joey, his wife Wendy of Jacksonville; Four sisters: Wimbreth Russell, Imogene Adams, both of California; Lois Nichols, of Jacksonville; Joan Beasley (Jesse) of Callahan; Three Granddaughters: Tiffany Manasco of Callahan; Paige Manasco of Jacksonville; and Kayla Manasco of Callahan; Two Grandsons: Maverick Manasco of Jacksonville and Deagan Manasco of Callahan; 27 Nieces, 19 Nephews and several other relatives and many friends.

The family will receive friends Monday evening, February 23, 2009 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at the funeral home at 10:30 AM with Rev. David Hughart officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Memorial Cemetery.
