Stuart Timothy Music, 55, of Callahan, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2009 at home after an extended illness. Stuart was born September 11, 1953 in Jacksonville, FL to J.T. and Lois Music. He was a former member of Thomas Creek Baptist Church and now a member of Dinsmore Baptist in Jacksonville, FL. He played football at West Nassau High School and Catawba College in Salisbury, N.C. He then graduated from Daytona Community College where he studied automotive mechanics. He taught automotive at West Nassau High School and at FCCJ. He then joined General Motors as a trainer, retiring after 18 years of service. He was preceded in death by his brother: James E. Music of Atlanta, GA.
He is survived by his parents: J.T. & Lois Music; his wife: Darlene Music; Sons: James L. (Lucy) Music of Callahan and Stuart C. (Amanda) Music of Bryceville, FL; a Grandson: Timothy H. Music; a Granddaughter: Makenzie Grace Music; 2-Sisters: Ms. Elizabeth Music of Jacksonville, FL and Mrs. Judy (Norwood) Higginbotham of Callahan, FL; and Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends Tuesday September 1 at Nassau Funeral Home in Callahan, FL from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 2 at Dinsmore Baptist Church, 10500 Old Kings Road, Jacksonville, FL 32219 at 11:00 AM with Dr. Winson Butler officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery in Callahan, Florida.
