Virginia Janet Thomas Joyce 85, of Callahan passed away October 22, at the Hilliard life care center. She was born in Hilliard, Florida, February 29, 1924, to the late Wilbur and Myrtle Dryden Thomas.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Callahan. For more than 50 years.
She is survived by her Husband Alonzo Joyce of Callahan. 1- Brother Wilbur L.JR. (LaFayne) Thomas of Folkston Georgia. 3- Grand Daughters, Julie (Rodney) Hutson of Callahan, Paula (Keith) Thompson of Callahan, and Aylene Barr of Jacksonville; 2-Grandsons, Gary (Amy) Goforth of Wesley Chapel, Florida, and Doug Wildes of Jacksonville; 1- Great grandson, Chandler Hutson of Callahan; 4- Great Granddaughters, Lauren, Krista and Amelia Thompson of Callahan and Abby Goforth of Wesley Chapel, Florida, and several other Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her 3- sons, Roger, Michael and Stephen Wildes.
Active pallbearers are Gary Goforth, Keith Thompson, Rodney Hutson, Layton Thompson, Ashley Stokes, Chandler Hutson, and Doug Wildes.
The family will receive friends on Monday 26, from 6-8 pm. At Nassau Funeral Home, Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 27, At 11am, at The First Baptist Church of Callahan . Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery.
